Search for your own topic within bereavement

Let's use the example of cancer in the broad general bereavement context. Results will include references that are about cancer in all literature about bereavement. They will be about both cancer and bereavement.

Instructions

Step 1: Click on this link: Run the Bereavement Search Filter in PubMed now
Step 2: Click on Advanced, below the search box
Step 3: Type your topic search, i.e. cancer, into the top Builder box
Step 4: Identify the 'set number' for Step 1 above (e.g. #1)
Step 5: Click on the word Add next to that search to enter it in the PubMed search box; it will appear in the box below your own topic search and be automatically combined with it
Step 6: Select Search

You can substitute your own search terms in Step 3 to create your own PubMed Search.

Having trouble?

Make sure that you type your search terms in the PubMed 'search' box, and not the CareSearch 'search' box. This mistake could happen if you forget to click on the ‘Run the Bereavement Search Filter in PubMed now' step in these instructions.

CareSearch has received two reports that home internet providers restricted their access to PubMed. If PubMed is not behaving as it should, or if you receive an unusual message such as 'access denied', please contact your supplier to enable access.
