Allied health professionals are often involved in or lead research studies. Others would like to become involved in research. Much research is being conducted in looking at translating knowledge into practice and appropriate evaluation methodology.
CareSearch has extensive research resources that can help you to get started in research and find out what is happening in palliative care across Australia. For example, the Research Data Management System (see link under
Research Resources below), is available to Australian palliative care researchers free of charge, to assist in designing surveys and collecting research data.
To keep up with research activity go to
Research Studies Register where you can search for projects by topic or by investigator. We invite all Australian researchers to provide information on their current research activities (which have received funding or ethics approval) for inclusion in this register. Follow this link to complete the
Research Studies Proforma.
To find conference abstracts, materials from government departments and organisations involved with palliative care, and details of projects undertaken as part of the
National Palliative Care Program funded by the Department of Health, you can
Search Grey Literature.
