COVID-19 infection is more severe for older people and people with pre-existing conditions that make them vulnerable to the effects of infection. This includes people with palliative care needs.
If many people are infected it can mean that your usual care team is not always available to help you and that you need to do more for yourself. Having access to trustworthy information to support you, your carers and family can help. Avoiding infection is best but if you or the person you are caring for becomes infected with COVID-19 there are things you can do.
