The Talking End of Life ...with people with intellectual disability (TEL) website gives carers and practitioners the skills, knowledge, resources and confidence to help people with intellectual disability understand the end of life, and make plans for it if they choose.

Developed in 2018, and updated in 2020, TEL comprises 12 modules on topics including what death is, funeral wishes, and bequeathing. Each module contains individual stories, video examples, practical tips, resources, and links to available research that underpins the content.

TEL is a research collaboration between the University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, HammondCare, Flinders University and Unisson Disability. The project is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health under the Public Health and Chronic Disease Grant Program.

Project funding has ceased and the TEL resource is now maintained by CareSearch to enable ongoing access to the resources.
