Can't agree more with you about pacing yourself - I threw myself into accompanying my Mum in her final year with dementia, cancer, and chronic pain. I tried to be with her for at least a short time every day but eventually that dropped to longer times 3-4 times/week. It is difficult however when you are the only one nearby. I was so glad to be able to have my Oncology Massage Therapists friend Tubi visit my Mum twice a week to deal with pain & stiffness, anxiety & depression, insomnia & agitation, and loneliness & touch hunger.
